I made mats from using kaleidoscopes of each picture. Then matted them all together and made another kaleidoscope of that for the next layer. Once done with all of that I added a frame around the whole thing using a fill layer.
I had far to much time on my hands today. Something to keep or just toss?

I used a free plugin that you can get here http://www.mehdiplugins.com/ to make the kaleidoscope. There are many possibilities that you can do with this plug in. I will make a Kaleidoscope of something and then make a kelidoscope of the kaleidoscope. different blend modes will give you different results. Just down load the free plug in and when you put it in the plug in folder it will show up under your filters menu under Mehdi.
Lots of fun to play with.

Tina,
Definitely this one is a keeper! Your creativity is at "full speed". Thanks for the link. I've just downloaded the plug-in.

Thanks for all the great comments. I really like to play with this filter and there are so many ways to use it. If I am looking for a special color for a mat I will just pluck out some color from a photo and then just make color spotches on a white or colored backgroud and add the filter to that. The blend modes make a huge difference in the finished look. There are three to choose from so try all of them and see how it makes things change. Move the filter in closer or out to make a different look also. Endless possibilities for this filter. Once you start to play with it you will find it hard to just quit. I also have a stand alone Kaleidoscope program that works very differently from the filter that I like to use. If any one would like a link to that program I can provide that. It is a program that you have to buy/not for free.

Here is a example of what the Kaleidoscope Kreator progam does.
I make a kaleidoscope and then open it in PSE and add backgrounds and can add a photo to the center.
