Hi,
I have a nice high end fast PC, several hard drives, etc.
I have PSE3 and CS2 on the PC when I loaded PSE6.
I works fine, even open Nikon D300 NEF withe latest plugin.
My problem:
When I go to use the BRUSHES, they load, and are indicated at the top with respect to size, but the icons are not visible in the pull down menus. The pull down is solid black, yet I can "traverse" and it will indicate that different brushes are there.
The other pull down menus work fine.
I have uninstalled and reload ir 3 times....same thing.
Any help would be appreciated.....I'm going to call tech support Mon morning, but thought I'd try here.
Thanks
John Garth

JGarth, Very strange behavior...

What do you get when you click the right pointing arrow at the top right corner and switch thumbnail sizes or to the list mode, etc? Are you even able to see the menu of choices?

3/4 of the Way down is Preset Manager (also available under the Edit menu), what do you see when you activate the Preset Manager?

Jeff,
Thanks..
I do not see anything in the pull down box at all....no options whatsoever with the right click anywhere.....it is totally BLACK....yet when I traverse that pull down menu, the box up at the top changes the brush choice....it's like they are there, but can't see the icons...

The PRESET MANAGER does show the brush set/with icons that I have chosen.

Thanks,
John

John,

Most likely, your display's brightness and contrast need adjustment, either manually or by a calibrator like the Spyder:

Adobe chose low-contrast colors for the PSE interface. On well-calibrated displays, it's reasonably readable, but many people have found that some elements (like brushes) are hard or impossible to read on their uncalibrated displays.

I re-loaded Adobe Gamma and re-calibarated a bit brighter....that worked...

Thanks guys...
