Kelby's PSE 6 book no layers

I purchased Scott Kelby's book on PSE 6 after upgrading to PSE 6 and was disappointed to find that he has eliminated the chapter on layers in this edition. I had his book on PSE 4 and it had a chapter on layers. I gave that book away before I realized this. I wonder why he did this? He states that many ofters have written this info but that means buying another book it makes one wonder what the motive is.

Hi Marv,
I co-wrote this edition with Scott. I just went back to double check and we definitely did not remove a chapter on layers. The only chapter that was removed (and it was put online for free) was the chapter on Restoration since it doesn't really fall into digital photography. Just to make sure, I went back to all versions of the book and there was no chapter on layers in previous versions either.

Do yourself a favor and buy Matt's Layers book. It is very good and I really enjoy it.

I agree Matt's Layers book is excellent, but just know that it was written for CS3.
