View Full Version : Canon CR2 files and PE6

I replaced my old Canon Digital Rebel with a 40D. I now am having trouble with CR2 files and Elements 6. I've tried the suggestion someone here mentioned about replacing the Camera Raw plug-in from Adobe with the new version 4.4.1. That has not fixed my problem though. Somehow I knew it couldn't be that easy!

The files appear in the organizer as a rectangle with a question mark within it. When I double click the rectangle, PE6 looks for the missing file.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Could try importing with the digital pro software that came with the 40D. If that has trouble, would suspect card is corrupt. Could also double check that camera raw did get updated by finding in applications and clicking on about to bring up the version info.

I can view the files and import them from the Digital Pro software that came with the camera, so I don't think the card is corrupted.

Can you explain in more detail how I make sure the camera raw got updated?
