Steven, the fact that you submitted a photo of a hangman's knot doesn't surprise me! In fact, I would have been disappointed if you hadn't. But I can't look at it without getting dizzy!
And Bill, those are the fuzziest fuzzy dice I've ever seen! Those are great!

Mary Lou...they are doing construction on the interstate near my house, and I've been walking by a big beam dangling from a crane for 3 days and it never occured to me to take its picture! Must be sleep-walking... :p
Love the color of the sky in your photo...

Okay I don't know what I am doing wrong with my photo's at pixentral, I copy and paste the link for the forum and three of the four have not been clickable, all I see is a BLAH!!
The one I posted for this theme did the same thing.
Help please!

Hi Kerry -
The trick to posting clickable thumbs in your forum post is to copy/paste the bottom link from the Pixentral after your image has been uploaded. Here's a screenshot for you. Hope it helps ... and again, welcome!!

Bill/Kerry: That's a wierd one. Not sure what happened. Looks like the forum link has got copied and pasted into the text OK but the one from Kerry that comes up BLAH has an extra right bracket on the end (]). Take it off and it works fine just like the one Bill posted. Not sure how that happened.
My method is to click 3 times on the forum link to make sure it's all highlighted, Ctrl-C to copy it and then Ctrl-V to paste it directly into the text of the reply.

:)Thanks Bill and Tony, so somehow I am ending up with an extra bracket? Hmm... atleast now I know what to watch for.
So appreciated!!

This has been a really fun week of entries!
Lisa - Thanks for getting us off to a good start with the hanging baskets. The colorful flowers contrast nicely with the black and white doors.
Sharon - That's a good eye. Nice way to interpret the theme!
Steven - Great image ... if a bit unsteadying. And hey, if Ping keeps having anxiety issues, PM me please. I think I have an idea about what might be causing it. ;)
teachfla - Welcome to the photo themes. It's always nice to see a new player join the fun. It looks like that scale may be giving the store a bit of a head start!
Helen - Cool goose! I like the shadow of it's wing on the wall behind.
Clara - That's a great image! How do they do that??
Kim - No apologies neccesary ... mine is orange. Nice shot.
Val - Way to support 'da Bears! I should have used this theme when you were in Hawaii ... you could have shot 'hanging ten'. I'm always thinking;)
Mary Lou - Nice catch ... I would have walked past that all week and never realized it fit the theme perfectly.
Suzanne - I'm sure he thinks of it as his suet, and that the birds are the thieves!
Sepiana - Nice shot! I can't help but think of apple pie when I see those.
Byron - Great shot ... the flash of green adds nice colot to the fence.
Tony - You had your hard hat on I hope.
Kerry - I like your image. Welcome right back to you!! I'm glad you joined in the fun.
There's still plenty of time to get more entries in ... the more the merrier!!

Bill, thank you and I must tell you I had to stand in the middle of a 4 lane highway to get that angle. At one point a police officer drove by, I was surprised he didn't pull over to question my activity. I must also say there was not a cloud in the sky that day, so I used Ariel Shalev's bushes ( http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=authorExtensions&authorid=75218745 ) found on Adobe Exchange.
Byron, I hope your neighbor will "share the wine"!
As always, there are many creative shots here and looking at everyone's always helps get my creative juices flowing.

You are right Bill. That squirrel chases all the "real" thieves away so he can have his dinner all to himself. At least the cage keeps him from carrying the whole thing back to his nest.

Mary - Wow ... that's quite a wall of fame! And you know darn well it's not a party until you get here.;)
Ellen - Very fun!! I have a pot that's missing a lid about the size of the one in your image. Next time you pass by there I wonder if ... oh, never mind.

Bill -
As always, thank you for taking the time to set up this challenge every week, and then make comments on all the entries.
I am more then a little impressed that you seem to notice the "thing" that I have tried to put in the image. This week it was the shadow of the wing. It took a while for the rising sun to hit the wall just right. :)
Cheers,
Helen

Thanks, Bill, for your nice comments. Your image is great. I love the color and the composition. The depth of field makes the picture very interesting.

Bill, thanks for the nice comment.
I do enjoy the photo theme challenge. Good exercise for the brain!
All I can do is dream of making apple pies with my home-grown apples -- I'm losing the battle with the deer. Nothing seems to deter them: Deer Off, soap bars, etc.

Thanks as always Bill- I'd be happy to snag the pot lid for you or a hubcap if you need one.
Steven- the kit-kat earrings are too cool to wear, hanging is good.

Just thought I would stop in and say "Hi"! I've missed being able to visit. This was a fun theme - so many possibilities & of course, the everyone took great advantage of that. Gary - your sense of humor is priceless!! & I never would have thought of hanging earrings that way(Steve?)-but, that was great! And, you're right - good taste never goes out of style. But, the poor kitty! I'm impressed with that shot of the two butterlies Bamagirl-did you luck into that or hang out waiting? Definitely a great shot! I walked out my back door one night to see a spider "hanging" by a strand from his web. Unfortunately, by the time I got my camera, he had scurried back up to the middle and was munching on a bug of some kind. But, it was a good lesson for me in trying to take a picture like that at night.
Anyway, it's late-must get some sleep. Hope to visit again soon. :D

Sepiana, I have a friend who has had terrible problems with the deer dining on her flowers
and fruit trees. She has tried everything that it out there to keep them away and nothing has worked. This year she purchased this sprinkler (http://www.awesometools.com/scarecrow.asp) and everything is still gorgeous and intact. Since it has a motion sensor you do have to be careful when going near it because it doesn't know the difference between deer and people!! I have gotten soaked several times but it really does what it is supposed to.

Mary Lou, thanks for the info. I'm going to buy that sprinkler. I won't be depriving the deer -- there are plenty of vegetation around our 3 acres for them to pig out. I want to enjoy my flowers and eat my home-grown fruit. At least we can eat our vegetables -- an 8-foot tall fence did the trick (thanks to my husband ingenuity).

Bill,
I just wanted to add my sincere thanks to the others. I know it can't be an easy job hosting the challenge week after week and then taking the time to always come up with something new and original to say about each entry. But I can tell by your unique comments that you really do look at each one and appreciate each on its own merit. And you have such a keen eye that you often see and make an effort to point out something that the rest of us might miss!
Thank you so much for your hard work and please know that it doesn't go unnoticed! :)
