View Full Version : Open a JPEG into Camera Raw from Organizer?

OK, I'll admit I have never used Organizer, but thought I would try it at work to organize a few dozen images just to see what all the fuss is about.

After poking around and importing my files, I decided to open one in Camera raw, and...I can't find any way to do it. I can go directly into the Full Edit, even set up an additional External Editor, but how how can I launch Adobe Camera Raw with a JPEG? I suspect that double clicking on RAW files opens ACR without any trouble.

Am I missing something?

Jeff: You can't the first time - taking a JPEG from the Organizer to Full Edit just opens the regular editor unlike a RAW file which will open in ACR. But if you open a JPEG in ACR from the Editor (using Open As) the next time you open it from the Organizer it will open it in ACR. Slightly strange but not a big problem once you know what's happening. I would hope that by the time PSE7 comes along they'll have changed it - suspect that the PSE6 Organizer development and the JPEG in ACR development weren't in sync for PSE6.

Thanks, Tony. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing it somewhere. Seems like I read a tutorial somewhere from Kelby or Kloskowski talked about about opening jpgs into ACR from Organizer, but I'm probably mistaken. Maybe it was using Bridge. I do it now from CS3 Bridge, and perhpas the Mac PSE6 implementation of Bridge has that capability...that would be different for a change.

Thanks again,

Jeff
