For anyone who is a NAPP member (or saw the July/August edition of Photoshop User Magazine), Matt Kloskowski described an action that creates a side-by-side before and after view which can be quite useful. It's pretty clever the way he did it and I just tried the action in Elements and it works just like it does in Photoshop (I used it in PSE6 but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work in earlier versions). And I learnt two new shortcuts that also work in Elements Alt+, selects the bottom layer and Alt+. selects the top layer - couldn't find those in the Elements help file but they work.
