I have seen this special effect on a film portrait where there is the large size main image of the subject and then in two different areas of the picture there is a smaller copy of the of the subject. This was accomplished by using a special effects filter on the lens while shooting the photo. This was thirty years ago. It seems this effect can be accomplished in PSE 5.0 bu using the Clone Stamp tool, however, the instructions in my book are not real clear. Can some one provide simple instructions for using this tool. Thank you. Carl

If I understand you correctly all you have to do is copy the additional photos apply a feather to them and paste them where you wish. Scale their size to suit the position and size compared to the main photo.
If not clear post back for an example.

Carl one, I don't know your knowledge of Elements so i'll try to keep it simple.
If you have problems with selections, dragging, scaling post back.

Begin by having your photos open on the desktop.
If your satisfied with your main photo then do nothing to it.
Select the other photos one at a time.
To make this simple I'll use simple selections.
Using the elliptical marquee tool drag around the part of the photo you wish to use.
This will give you either a round or oval selection.
If you want a round selection then hold down the shift key while dragging around the part of the photo you want to transfer.
To get a better blending between the main photo and the selection go to Select>Feather and apply a feather of about 5.
You can experiment with larger feather to see if it improves your selection. This just give you a wider blend.
While the selection is still active proceed to drag the photo onto your main photo using the move tool.
If it's too large or small you have to scale it to fit to your liking.
Go to Image>Resize>Scale
A bounding box will appear. Grab one of the corners and while holding down the shift key drag inward to reduce or outward to enlarge the photo.
Holding down the shift key during scaling will give you proportional re-sizing.
Move the selection into the position you want.
At this point you can reduce the opacity of the selection to help it blend even further.
Go to Layers>Opacity and adjust to your liking.

Repeat with the other photos.
Each photo should be on a separate layer so you will be able to manipulate them to get a more pleasing look.
If a new layer is not created when dragging the selection then create a new layer before dragging the selection.
Post back if you have problems.
