Please help

I cannot get out to get a book for Elements 6. I used Elements 2 and had no problem getting photos into the workspace. I am using Mac OSX and cannot figure out how to get a photo from my iPhoto program. When I go to the folder, it opens iPhoto and I've tried selecting a group, an individual photo, or even an album, but can't figure it out. I would g:confused:reatly appreciate help. Thanks!!
