Reading a recent question about tags vrs albums ect, I wondered if I'm using the best method for myself.

At the present I have everything organized in albums, using the date that the film (gasp) was developed and CD created. That keeps those group of shots all together in that particular album, including more recent edited shots. The problem arises, when I look in show all, it automatically arranges in newest to oldest, or reversed, and the edits from an older album are shown separated from their original album group. This can be annoying when looking for a type of shot, or location group.
Is there anyway to have them in 'Show All', keep in their group, or perhaps I should use a different approach in the organizer? What are your suggestions?

In the Organizer, you can show your images by Folder Location view, which may keep your photos together the way you want (if you saved edits in the same folder as the original).

But if you are not using Tags, you are missing out on one of the most powerful and easy features for Organizing. When using Windows folders or albums, you are limited to having a photo in at most one Windows folder, and you can only show one album at a time. With Tags, a photo can have several tags, and accomplish a much broader type of organization of your photos.

Also, you can change the date and time on your edited photos so you can have your edits show up with the originals when you look at Show All photos view.

Didn't know about the folder option... tried it several times yesterday afternoon, seems to do the trick. Thanks.

I have a related question. Can the organizer previews be sorted by capture date rather than last modified date? I find that if I edit an older photo, it suddenly pops up to the top of the organizer window rather than sticking to it's date position.
