Thanks to Lisa for suggesting this week's theme of doors or doorways. It's a repeat of a great one we did for week #22, but I think 121 weeks is enough for the statute of limitations to expire.

I'll start us off this week.

The thing I like best about these photo themes is that they make me look. Here's a door I've walked past a million times and never noticed 'til this morning's walk.

I was downtown, looking for doors, when the Pride Parade just happened to pass by (the answer is no. Not there is anything wrong with it!) So, there is a door, behind this festive assembly.:D

It was different downtown here. ;) I noticed this door the other day , can't get the whole thing in frame even with getting down in the seagull poop.

Here's a door from a little church in Maui. I liked how you could peek through and see the stained glass at the far end.

Apparently, pixentral thinks they can finance this for me with a low home equity loan! (Ad immediately under the picture...:p:D)

I wouldn't recommend trying to walk through this doorway, but it's one of the most inviting around this area.

I believe if there is a prize given out this week for ugliest "used to be - but is no more" door, I will win hands down!!! This hideous non-door is directly on the outside of my office wall. I never knew that my office once had a door leading to the "outside." I guess before I moved in, they wanted to be sure to remove all escape routes! Probably a smart move on their part!

A work in progress . Trying for an interior shot using natural light of an old Toll House from a nearby road that is being restored and filled with period artifacts. So it's taken from a doorway of two doorways with light from an open doorway so I guess that counts :). Used three exposures (-2EV, 0 and +2EV) and then exposure blended using Enfuse. Problem at the moment is that I think I've got a variable white balance problem that I'll have to see if I can fix but I'll post where I've got to for now.

Maybe I should have made life a bit easier and turned on the flash ;)

One more try - adjusted the white balance before exposure blending - not sure it's better but it's different.....

From what I understand this would be a great place to try some HDR shots..but I don't know where it is as I have never been there before.

...and representing the "too lazy" department, we have a shot of my own front door -- from the inside, looking out through the viewer.
