Ok. I have fixed a few pimples here and there in PS, but how do you deal with someone who has pretty bad acne like in the shot below? For reference, I have Lightroom and PSE6. I know Lightroom won't be any help. Any help/tips/steps to fix would be awesome!!

I used the healing brush tool and selected a spot on the neck that was clear and worked on the face and then I used the blur tool set down to 21% and went over the area and it came out great.

Hi there

The skin tones are very opposed so it makes the blending a little difficult. In my example I did not want to blur too much or change the basic tone. The person will know of course and people who know him...so...I decided to even the underlying tone and just reduce the skin blemishes for a not perfect but softer look.

I used THESE (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=350595&postcount=2) techniques for the GIF example below. I did use the degrunge routine

Hi ghoskins

Please will you just put thumbnails in the threads ... large images cause all sorts of problems for people on dial up.

If there is a clickable thumbnail it means that people who want to view a larger image can do just that ... and our members who are using dial up don't have to wait a long while the images load into the thread. This really slows things down for them ...

Thanks :)
Wendy

WendySorry for a brief hijack, but Wendy, is it possible to pin a sticky somewhere on how to put the clicky thumbnails? I'm not to the point yet of having anything to share, but when I do, I'd like to share it properly. I know I've seen a how-to somewhere on these forums but I can't find it again. Using Search on the FAQs doesn't turn up anything :(. I didn't see anything about it in How to Use the Forums, either (maybe it was there, but I didn't see it).

I suppose people could just click on one of the clicky thumbnails and follow the instructions there, but perhaps a sticky somewhere might catch a few more folks who haven't yet tried it.

----------------------------------

Edit: Wouldn't you know it, a few moments after posting this, I found the info on clicky thumbnails! It is in Forum Members Tutorials section of the forums (first category under Strut Your Stuff). Within that section, go to the 4th sticky, "General 'How-To' Tutorials". This --> Using Pixentral to post... (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32055) is the first tut in there and covers how to make clicky thumbnails. Yay!

-----------------------------------

Back to the project at hand, I'm more amazed and delighted every day to see how many things are possible with editing, even on a consumer level.

Cassie O, thank you so much for posting on where to find how to do the thumbnails. I have asked numerous times and searches and still couldn't find the answer. Thank you again! :)
