Hi everybody. My name is Freda. I found this site by googling and read some of the forum messages and thought this may be the place for me.

I've had Elements 4 for a while and I keep trying to use it using the books I bought. But other than the really simple uses like cropping, somehow things don't end up like they do in the books. I can't figure out if I'm not reading them right or they're missing a step. Since I'm a very good reader, and the writers obviously seem to know what they are doing, there is definitely a disconnect somewhere. I'm hoping that when I run into a problem I'll be able to come here for help.

I've thought about upgrading to 6 since I want to do scrapbooking also, but I'm figuring if I can't figure out 4 I'll probably have the same problem, and I want to know I can do this before I have 2 programs I can't use.

So I guess we'll all figure these programs out together and we'll all be better users of Elements.

Thanks for the welcome. Just reading some of the messages shows me how much information is available here and how helpful everybody is. I hope that someday I'll be good enough that I'll also be able to pass on help to other newcomers like I am today.

Welcome to a really great place. Just over a year ago I could do NOTHING! I have never regretted becoming a subscriber, the journey has been great. And if you are interested in scrapping then definitely join up.

Welcome Freda. It may not be you. A lot of books are written for full photoshop and need work arounds for elements. Everyone is pretty good about helping out.
