Just another new guy here

Just found this forum and that it was great. I have elements 2.0, old I know but thats all I have right now to work with. I am trying to add text and grafix to picturs that I have taken. I take pictures at a local race track and would like to add some Text to it to show where the pictures were taken from. Any one have any suggestions. I have attached my picture and a pictures of what I am wanting to do. Thanks in advance.

If I were you I would ask this question in the "get answers" part of the forum as more people hang out there and I think you would get a better response to your question. Good luck.

What you need to do is add some more canvas to your image Image>Resize>Canvas Size (Don't worry if you add too much as you can crop it out later)
Fill the area with a suitable colour using Edit>Fill Layer)
... and then select the text tool, a suitable font and add your text :)

Hi Brad,
I can't add any more to what Wendy has said, except welcome, and if you are serious about wanting to learn Elements then maybe become a subscriber. You get access to lots of videos and tutorials as well as a newsletter with great tutorials eight times a year. But be warned...it can become addictive:)

Hi Brad,

I am new here too and can testify to the benefit of being a subscriber. The videos alone go back to 2003 I think and I have been going through them and taking notes!

One more thing, make sure that you are working with a copy when playing-not the original!
