Hi All,
I would like to know how to put an image onto a wall or fence, so it looks like the image is part of the wall or fence. I have seen a couple of Photoshop tutorials, but I would like to use Elements 6.0, I am using windows.
Thanks....

There is a displacement map tut in the subscriber's area. Alternatively just search online for displacement maps+elements. The tut I use is copyrighted so I can't paste it in for you.

This was for an older version of Elements, but I would imagine it would work similarly in 6. http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/subscriber/tutorials/tw_displacement.php

Yes that works just the same in any version ... but you do need to be a subscriber to access it :)

Have you seen this Felix Nelson tutorial (does not use Displacement Maps for the purpose)?

I do not use Displacement Maps frequently, but, when I wanted to get a better handle on the topic, the following link helped. If you want to go the Displacement Map route, you may want to try to incorporate some of the ideas in this link into your project:

ATR - that was a great tutorial - simple to do, yet the finished product was excellent.

Felix Nelson is indeed a gifted person, and his tutorials reflect that.
I am a Photoshop Elements/Premiere Elements person to the core; nonetheless, I try to keep up what is happening elsewhere and everywhere. For a long time I have been following the iTunes podcasts now called PhotoshopUserTV with Dave Cross, Matt Kloskowski, and Scott Kelby. That is where I first saw Felix Nelson demo that technique quite some time ago. Subsequently I found his tutorial online in written form.
I am glad that you all found that tutorial interesting and useful.

I thought I would try this tutorial. I didn't use the poster on the tutorial but found another couple which I liked. One of the steps was to change the layer blend mode to overlay. I found this made the layer almost transparent so I substituted this step to reducing the saturation and lightening the layer to give a faded look to it.
