Hi everybody... I'm really looking forward to meeting people here with my same interests. I recently got into editing pictures but photography has always been important to me. Picture that I take, picture that I print and I actually collect photo albums (not scrapbooks but regular photo albums). I've done some scrapbooking but my style is VERY different from what I believe is "normal" (I might be wrong) so I'd love to discuss this further with some of you guys.
I'm learning PSE6. I had PSE4 but never took the time to learn it so when I recently got into this I decided to upgrade and start from scratch. I'm serious about this now... so much that I got not only PSE6 but a tablet and other plug-ins (My husband would say I'm obsessed...)
Another of my major interests, also related to photography, are slide-shows and home movies which is why I want to edit my pictures first and I also love displaying my pictures (I have frames all over the place)
A tiny little bit about me before you get bored with this long posting: I'm from Venezuela but live in Miami with my husband. Fortunately, I have lots of time to spend on my hobbies since I'm a housewife and no children yet.. Once again, I'm really looking forward to sharing with you my love for pictures.
Thanks!! :)

Oh how lucky are you to have time on your hands.......time is quickly lost when one is playing with elements. The hours fly by without one realising how long they have actually sat at the computer. But what a way to go.
Enjoy, and please do open a gallery, we love looking at each other's work.

Hi, and welcome.
Be sure to get out and about so you can photograph nature....you will never run out of subjects...and you seem to be in a good place to see year-round items to photograph.

Sure I will... besides learning the software, I'm also learning photography with my Nikon D40 and I mean real photography. I got this camera as a birthday present from my dad a few months ago and I'd only use it to point and shoot (always thinking "I've got to learn how to use this" and now, finally, I'm taking the time to learn and experiment. It's great! I'm loving it!!!

Glad you like your new camera. My digital is about all the camera I need right now, but when my son got a new DSLR.....I turned green with envy! I do love being able to take as many shots as I want to, because surely one of them will turn out good....

Hi, Andy, and welcome to the friendliest and most informative website around. You're sure to find answers to all of your questions right here. I am curious to learn more regarding your comment:

What style have you adopted that you might not consider normal? Believe me! You'll see everything on this forum! Just take a look around! And it's all good and considered perfectly "normal!" Just view some of the galleries and you'll soon see what I mean!

Again, welcome, and make yourself at home!
Kim :)

Hi Andy, welcome to the village! You'll love this place. I'm from Puerto Rico and live in Michigan. Would rather live in Florida, but their is no way my husband would move far from his family.

¡Hola, Andy! This is a good forum for learning about PSE6. I also have a Nikon D40 and LOVE it! Have you started a gallery yet? I can't wait to see some of your images.
