It's only 10:40 here so I may be posting this before Bill puts up the challenge (ha), but here is a trail picture from Oahu...hiking up to Manolo Falls. I think these are banyan trees...very jungle-y hike, with hooting birds, bamboo forests, and wild pigs! (Too bad we didn't see any of those..)

Lots different than Illinois!

This was taken this morning on the road heading into Portland. Not too much traffic on a Sunday ... just me and my weeds.;)

The end of the trail that leads to one of my favorite sulking rocks. On a clear day you can see Ellen's house forever.

I use this park for all of my "outdoor, woodsy" needs. It's secluded and very picturesque. hmmm... wonder where those stone steps lead? Maybe one day I'll find out!

This is just off the road in Francis Park, Lansing, MI in the Autumn. I fell in love with the weird tree.

We live on a long dirt road. This is the part that goes beside the pond. Pretty snakey-looking in the summer.

Okay, I admit I took this a couple weeks ago on our trip to Montana, so I won't claim the million dollar prize. But I love "road" photos, and this one stirs up many wonderful childhood memories for me...the long dirt road out to the ranch.

...besides which, I'm excited to finally know how to use Pixentral, and wanted to practice before I forget!

Mr. L. thought this fit the challenge criteria. The path lightening made down a tree during last night's storm.

I've been sick as a dog for several weeks. Yesterday I said I've got to take some pictures. So I popped a Zofran and headed out.

Here is my effort for a walkway.

I guess once a crater gets really big, it's called a caldera. Here's a trail through one...

You follow the rock piles (cairns) to find your way across. Crazy!

To celebrate Canada Day here's a patch of Canada Anenomes taken this morning along the trail down by the creek behind our place. Didn't stay long - was being eaten alive by mosquitoes and deer fly. It's been a good year for wild flowers here. Usually the anenomes are over by now but this year there are still a few remaining flowers. Unfortunately good weather for wild flowers is also good weather for bugs :D

To celebrate Canada Day, we went on one of our very favourite hikes — to Elk Falls. Let's just say that by the time we were finished, I had many images of paths! :D I chose this one because I loved the tropical sort of mysterious look of it.

On our way home, we stopped at John Hart Lake and Dam. Campbell River gets its water from up there through these amazing pipes that follow their own path down to town.

This is kind of a sad road. Near where I live is the former Canadian Forces Base, Rockcliffe. Defense funding cuts in recent years resulted in the base being decommissioned and most of the military housing has been demolished. The roads are in disrepair and surrounded by fields of wildflowers. This prime property was to be redeveloped but aboriginal land claims have put the project on hold.

These were taken at a nearby nature preserve this afternoon.

Image #1 - brought to my mind Frost's verses:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Image #2 - Caution! Walkway ends. Turn left to avoid getting wet.

I know I'm technically a bit late, but I've been waiting all week to get this shot, and knew when I heard the rain coming down last night that I'd be successful, so I hope you'll allow it! Snail trails on my lounge floor!! Never see the little blighters themselves, only the trails they leave.
