What a small world!! Uncanny Oregon looks pretty scenic. I'll have to check that out for our next vacation!!

Everything is!
For the record this beautiful spot is actually at Deception Pass in Washington State.

Steven - You always make getting up early look so worthwhile. Love the wave action. Did you use any special camera settings??

Bill- No special camera settings other than a tripod with a small aperture set to center metering. Lots of blend modes (mostly linear burn and dodge) with a couple level adjustments. The wave patterns were there, the post editing tweaking just brought them out more. So you can still sleep in!:D
SharLamb- I too love Montana roads, the dirtier the better! I grew up in (De)Edmonds, a suburb of Seattle!

Val not only picked a great theme for us, but her path through the banyan trees was a wonderful start for the week. The volcano crater shot is pretty amazing, as the tunnel. Looks like you're having a moderately good time.:)
Rob - It's shots like that that tempt me golf again ... great job.
Mary - Nice to see you back on the themes! 105 sounds brutal, at least your early morning hike was on a beautiful trail.
Steven - As mentioned earlier I love this shot. Wonderful color and mood.
Kim - The steps look intriguing. You're not trying to lure us up there because you know what fate awaits are you??? Nah, you wouldn't to that.
Suzanne - that's a very pretty path. What are the flowering trees?
Carol - Yikes, that can't be good. Nice shot you got there.
Sharon - I like the 'don't forget to look behind you' approach. You got two good paths from one vantage point. Nice images.
Martha - That's beautiful. I like the composition with the road coming from the corner of the frame. You live in pretty country.
Shar - Boy that first image pulls the viewer's eyes in. The second is fun too ... I like the splash of bright blue. Nicely done.
Lorri - Very nice. The first shot has a good path and I love the way the bridge frames the bike rider. I'm glad I wasn't around when the lightning hit that tree. Nice to see Mr. Lorri getting involved in another shot.:D
Joe - I called my Dr. and ordered Zofran. I don't know what I need it for, but if it helps me take shots like that I want it. Nice job sir.
Ted - What a beautiful image with the road bisecting the landscape. Your treatment serves the image well.
Clara - Great image. Very timely for our US forum friends. The compostion and the color really all work well together.
Tony - That's a very pretty trail, thanks for braving the bugs for the shot. Happy Dominion Day to you and all of our Canadian forum friends.
Helen - Well I'm glad you went hiking ... those are great! I especially like the water pipelines ... they're fascinating.
Julie - I'm very partial to this type shot ... you did it very well. I love the tiny bit of color from the flowers. Nice DOF as well.
Geez, it's only Tuesday and you guys have put up 31 images!! That's fabulous ... tell your friends!!

Thanks so much, Bill, for always taking the extra effort to comment so thoughtfully on everyone's images. I liked your weed!
And, no, I would never intentionally lure you up to the top of those stone steps for any evil purpose! But, look over there... closer to the edge... closer.... no, you have to get just a bit closer.... lean waaaay over......
Steven - I have to also comment on your image. It was beautifully done. And how could someone sulk on a rock in such a wonderful, peaceful location?

Thanks for all the comments you do Bill. It is great encouragement for us all.
Kim, sulking on a rock is an underrated pastime of mine. I never learned how to knit.:(

Byron, I LOVE your road photo...because I love that "road." I'll be going over it in a week or so while visiting my son's family. If I could live there, I would. Beautiful.

Thanks, Shar!!
The morning haze was just beginning to thin out when we made it to the island, so things weren't completely gray... ;)
The weather was perfectly cool, though, so we really enjoyed the day!!

Who knew we could see paths, roads and trails in so many ways?!
Helen, your shot of the pipes leading down to town has certainly made me see things a little differently.
There is a wonderful old bridge nearby with a large water pipe anchored just below the decking. For months, I've lamented how the pipe "ruins" the shot.
After your photo and this week's challenge I see it in a new way.

Bayla- I spent the week looking for slime trails to shoot. Patience is a virtue.
