Maybe I can redeem myself after today's faux pas (grid tutorial), by mentioning an easy way some of you might be able to draw a grid. If you have a drawing program, such as CorelDRAW, you might be able to make the grid automatically in that program. In CorelDRAW, I simply click on the GRAPH PAPER tool (stacked with the polygon and spiral tools). On the tool bar at the top, I type in the number of squares I want vertically and horizontally, then drag my cursor across the page. Next, I COPY (CTRL C), then go over to PSE (I use version 5), and PASTE (CTRL V). The grid appears with white in the squares. So I use the MAGIC WAND with contiguous UNCHECKED, and click in one of the white squares, then hit BACKSPACE. All the white disappears, and I'm left with a perfect grid which I can resize by using the select tool and pulling/pushing the corner. If you know a way to make the page in your drawing program transparent, you probably wouldn't have to go thru eliminating the white background once you're in PSE. Or you may be able to save the graph as a png file, then open it in PSE (I can't do that in my version of CorelDRAW, so I don't know for sure). I don't think you can play with the squares in the manner of Dave Cross's tutorial, but if you just want a nice plain grid with specific number of squares for some reason, this is a very fast way to make it. Shar BTW, the pasta salad turned out great, and the birthday party was a big success.
