Hey all,
Would there be any reason why I wouldn't be able to adjust the dimensions of my crop? I normally click on the crop tool, then in the toolbar, select 5x5, 5x7, photo ratio, or some other dimensions, or I type them in directly.
For whatever reason, today when I select my crop tool, I can't adjust it at all! The dropdown box to select the dimensions won't drop down, and I can't type in the dimensions. It seems to do this with ever photo, and it is VERY annoying. Thanks!

Raivyn, I'll assume you are using PSE6, since that frequently happens to me, as to why, I havno idea, and can not duplicate the sequence of steps that makes it happen, it just does.
I can offer a suggestion that works to reset everything back to normal.
When it happens, got Edit>Preset Manager... and then click the "Done" button. Your crop dimensions should be back to working normally.
Don't ask why that works, I don't know (amybe someone else has the explainations of what's happening), but it does when mine gets "locked". Hope it works for you.

Reset Tool usually works to set any tool back to the default:

I've tried the reset tool with minimal success. What seems to be working is having changed my Performance under Preferences to the maximum I can. Thankfully nothing has been stuck since.
Thanks for the suggestions, though. When (not "if") this happens again, I'll give reseting tools another go.

Keeps on happening to me too.:( I find I have to close down PSE6 and restart it to get my crop ratios back.

Well, all this time I thought I was doing something wrong!! Good to know someone else has had the same problem. The only way I can get it to work again is to shut down PSE6 and restart. If I am in the middle of a big project it is quite upsetting to have to close everything down and start over!!:(

I wish I would have know this bug before I bought and upgraded to Version 6. It is a major pain in the butt if you are editing multiple photos. Adobe needs to issue a fix for this!
Thanks for giving the work around though. At least I'm not as frustrated as before!
