I use Windows xp sp2 - - fully updated.
PSE6 was working fine. I was uploading several sets of pictures to smugmug. I encountered what was reported as an internet problem on upload and the upload stopped. Usually I was able to resume the upload without incident.
The last time it happened I closed PSE - when I attempted to reopen, on startup (where I could only see the round opening screen) I got a message that PSE encountered a message and needs to shut down. I tried to do a system restore to a time when I know it worked - - that didn't work. All other programs in XP appear to work.
I then read about trying another user in XP - - so I tried my wife's account. PSE organizer opened under my wife's account (still won't open under mine). This worked fine for a day or so - ran into that "internet" problem again and now I can't open organizer from my wife's account.
Are there hidden files/startup files that need to get deleted so I can start it up. Any other suggestions? Thanks Joe
