I am attempting to compose a photo book. I want to select the number of photos per page and place them within the page as I go along. (this used to be easy with past versions.) I can't figure out how to do this. I must be missing something. Any help would be appreciated. thx:mad:

Just checked with Elements 4 and 6. use the Create Tab and then you get to create various kinds of Albums or 'photo books'. You work in the Organiser.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for getting back to me. What you describe is what i remember from PSE 4. In PSE6 when I go to Create and select Photo Book it takes me to the Editor...so I don't see how I can work in the Organizer.

Also, I seem to have to pick "random" or a set design for each of the pages. I can't figure out how to design each page as I go through the book. I seem to be locked into the set design.

Any help will be appreciated!!! Thanks

If you are interested in using one of the online photobook sites, I would recommend making photo collages (same area but choose photo collage instead of photobook). It has several templates where you just drag your photos into the boxes. When you're done, save your image as either a .pdf or a .jpg and you can upload them onto your photobook site of choice.

oops :o Sorry I led you astray , you work in the editor ;):
Either for photo book or photo collage, if you choose a set design, set up the number of pages, then in the editor on any page if you click on the move tool you can vary the layout to suit.... change picture sizes, reposition or rotate as you wish.

Try that it seemed to work for me just now. I did not try random to see what happens in that layout.

All the best!

THanks...very helpful. I can tell it one photo per page...and then just "move" more onto the page. I am dissappointed though that there aren't more book sizes available as there are with other service.

Oh well.....thanks again.

There are other sizes out there...I downloaded some plug in or something that gave me 12x12 for photo collages. I don't remember where I found it, though. :(

You could always resize your canvas after you've set up your page if you want a different size.

Do you mean that there are other sizes that you can get through Elements and their relationship with Kodak? I didn't see where there was a choice. I did a dummy book and went all the way through to just short of putting in my credit card.

Also, the best page layouts are likely to be different for different page sizes, so it would be far better to select the size of book before composing pages.

If you meant that other sites offer more selection, I agree.

thanks for you thoughts on all of this. Chuck
