Wanted - B&W Tool/Plugin that perhaps includes presets of some kind

PSE6 for mac

I'm looking for a third party plugin that will give me some good B&W settings/presets...

I rather have presets then a plugin that gives me additional control...

If I had CS3, I would just get a set of actions found here - http://www.gettotallyrad.com/#samples-7a1dc

But I don't have CS3, so I need to focus on what's available in PSE6

stayathomedad, try this site for plug-ins, including commercial, shareware and freeware.

You can filter for Mac specific. Look for a free plug-in from Cybia called BW-Plus (http://photoshop.pluginsworld.com/plugins/adobe/700/cybia/bw-plus.html).

PSE6 for the mac listed that plugin as being OS9 and it failed to install...

Did you check the Cybia site? there info says...

"Mac : MacOS 8 or higher and also MacOS X compatible."


Also, if you don't mind paying $50 for it, here is an excellent one that works on Mac OS X called B/W Styler.

There is a demo version available to see if it suits your needs.

Hi ...

The way I tend to do B&W conversions is to use the Channel Mixer from Grant's tools ... that gives you a lot of flexibility and is pretty easy to use :)
