Kev,
As always, another great job. Love the subject (you can tell by now I'm a cat lover). Very interesting frames too. Keep the kittens coming!

Kev, I always rush to open your work to see what magnificent artwork you have done. I took several photos of boomers this morning, hope to do a collage. Jean

Jean,
thank you. Looking forward to seeing your collage.
By the way, aren't boomers male roos. In Florida?

You are so right. But here in North Carolina (where we are in summer) they are little creatures that look like a cross between a chipmunk and a squirrel - and they are very noisy and possessive of the bird feeder. Jean

Jean,
looks like a grey squirrel to me. They are a pest here in the UK, they came from the States originally. They carry a virus that kills our native Red squirrels.

It is really small, half the size of the brown squirrels around here. In a nearby town there are white squirrels - so strange. Isnt it awful how stupid humans can be by taking animals from one country to another. For instance rabbits into Australia and possums into New Zealand. Jean

Interesting little creature!
Oh, and not just animals. Two invasive species here in the US are insects: Africanized killer bees and fire ants. Haven't had any experience with the bees (hope not to have!), but the fire ants are a constant problem. I have to keep on top of controlling them in the horse pasture and around the house. They like electricity currents, and have shorted out our a/c twice and an outside plug. And they HURT! (Although, I've discovered a spray bottle filled with 1 part bleach to 30 parts water neutralizes the sting if you hit it quick and rub.)
