Hello and welcome to the Village. That is a beautiful sunset! You have come to the right place to learn. There is always someone around to help you out so don't be shy about asking.

Hello ShowOff3Civic

Welcome to ElementsVillage. You will learn a lot here. Join the PET Website (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/) and sign up for the newsletter. There you will have access to videos and more.

As far as you layers question, visit one of my favorite sites PhotshopEssentials.com, there there is an article that goes into layers:

Welcome! You'll find a fun, friendly bunch around here.

You have some nice images. Because a lot of members are on dialup, rather than posting the whole photo, we use Pixentral to post thumbnails...

Here's a link on how to do that

Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff! :)

Just a suggestion, but make a copy of your picture and then play with the copy. Experiment to see what different things do (and that way you don't have to worry about messing up the original). I am new here too, but if you ask "how did you do that?" there is a flood of helpful answers streaming your way right away! Look to the podcasts as well for video tutorials. Search tech/elements.

Welcome! Really beautiful sunset :)

Where are you in Vermont? My husband and make several treks up to Mount Snow during ski season. We're in Brookfield, CT.
