I apologize if there is another thread on this, but I did a search and cannot find one.
I'm interested in giving a 'burned edge" effect on my photos, but can't figure out how to do it. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Just a little help here. I've used the tut below and really like it.

Are you a subscriber? If so, there is a video in the Subscriber area -- Burnt Edge, by Dave Cross, July 15 2005.

Hi, and welcome to the Village!
Sepiana gave you a great link. Another approach is to use the Burn tool. Activate it, select a soft-edged brush, and just brush along the edges where you want to darken the image. This gives you a little more control over where you "burn". Make short strokes so if you have to undo something, you don't undo a lot...
Have fun!

Thanks for the link and the advice!
I actually tried using the burn tool to do it by hand, but it ended up looking like a 1st grader did it. :)

Hi;
The link that Sepiana gave is a good one and the suggestion
that Val gave is another good way... Just make sure that you
are working on a copy layer.... (Ctrl J )
Good luck Tom :D
