Father of 5 here, plus 2 grandchildren.

My family is in Halifax, I'm in Ottawa. Awoke at 6 AM to sunny skies and 25c. So at 8 AM I slipped on my lowpro bag fully loaded with gear, jumped on my bicycle and headed out for the day. Just over 100 KM's later and some nice photos, I'm back home at 2 PM EST. Good timing on my part as the thunder is crackling loudly and some big showers are moving in.

Although I would much rather have been with the family, it was a great way to spend the better part of the day.

I'm off to upload my images and see if any are worthy of putting online. :)
