Thanks to Steven for unintentionally suggesting this week's theme of mirrors. (Check out EZ challenge #6 if you haven't already.) The theme is a re-run of week #44, but I think 95 weeks is a suitable gap. The challenges are many. Do you fight the glare or work with it? Do you include yourself? Do you photoshop in an alternate 'reflection'?

Have fun. And if you look really closely at the reflection in the starter image everything looks sort of Japanese.:D

The fine print:

Everyone is invited to participate.
Because the purpose of the weekly theme is to get us more familiar with our cameras and to sharpen our photographic skills, entries should be taken during the week of the theme.
Photoshopping is allowed.
To make this thread more manageable to view, please post only your entries in this thread. Post your comments in the accompanying 'comment' thread (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38111).
Be creative and have fun!

One for Bill - was helping out at our local classic car show and took time out to shoot a few pics including a bunch of reflections as there was a lot of polished chrome and shiny black :D. Hard to pick one but I'll go with the headlamp of a 1923 Ford T-Bucket.

I have a strategically placed mirror in my dining room that allows me to view trains from the kitchen table. The stupid gardener planted a giant Stipa grass in front, so the view is somewhat obscured. I'll fire him tomorrow!

I'm going with this one for now. These are my son-in-law's sunglasses. They could be the new Graucho glasses!!

My mantle clock has a mirror on the back of the inside, so that you can peek in through the glass sides and see the guts move. Here you can see the gears and hammers that work to strike the horizontal chimes.

Finder's credit to LW Jan who, while listening to me whine about not having a good idea for a mirror shot, gently pointed out the coaster my iced tea was resting on.

Like Red Sky, I too have a strategically placed mirror - mine is in my family room so I can see the TV from the kitchen, makes reading the words a little challenging though. LOL

This is a mirrored Mosaic that one of our local artists created on the side of a building. It greets visitors coming across the bridge from Indiana.

When I was keeping the grandchildren yesterday, Sophie wanted to see the gap left by her lost tooth. When I got out the camera, the twins also had to be included (they are such little hams!)
I don't know all the rules for this thread so if a montage is not okay, please tell me!

Well, I kind of drew a blank on this one. I actually looked for some old macrame with the mirror inserts, but couldn't find any at the thrift store. This is my guest bedroom dresser.

If I tell my 10-year-old that his face is messy or his hair needs brushing, he uses the shiny surface of the toaster to check his reflection.

an unintentional mirror, snapped this today when I was out and about, then did a bit of a twofer on it, as I bleached and then tinted (as in Be Creative 32) :)

Not crazy about this of my driveway in the rear view mirror but thought it odd that the mirror would reflect up too. I guess it's the day/night flip thing - I sure didn't see it in camera or real life.
