I am a late-comer to this game, so I don't know if any of these have been done, but these are some things I like to photographically play with when I'm out and about...
shadows
silhouettes
back lighting
roads/trails
textures

Gary - nice picture!
But I have to ask, with a Kim-like glint in my eye......should YOU of all people be taking photos of men in skirts??:D

But Val, what better person to take a picture of men in skirts than a man who wears one???

Thanks also Val. Some we've done, others not. I've added them to the list.
Looks like another theme is off to a good start.

Ach aye ..there's nothin' more manly than a lad in a weee pleated skirt.:D

I do agree, it is good to have some continuity in the general flow of things.

We had one today as well... did the same. I'll have to find another shot.:D

Don't fire him until he cuts down the grass.

The stupid gardener planted a giant Stipa grass in front, so the view is somewhat obscured. I'll fire him tomorrow!
But Boss ... I really need this job!!
Tony - thanks! I love it!
Mary Lou - Wonderful shot ... back to the drawing board for me.

Bill! :D If your cruel task-master Steven won't listen to reason, I have a huge yard that needs constant upkeep. But I must warn you... it's really hot in Kaintuckee right now! And NO planting Stipa grass that might obsure my wonderful view of the back-forty!

I came to say the same thing that Steven did ! I can only hope that the cow clock is in an even more prominent place.

Thank you Kim. My advance team is my brother Daryl and my other brother Daryl. Should the gig become necessary I'll send them out your way. Be sure to let them know if their incessant chattering bothers you.

Daryl and Daryl! That's great! They can stay with my pool boys, The Darling Boys! I just hope they get along and don't try to out talk each other! Do Daryl and Daryl like banjo music? :p

Ellen,
Steven,
Rest assured the cow clock commands a prominent placement in the master bathroom. It is on the ledge behind the tub, so one is able to contemplate it along with one's navel and whatever else might come to mind while taking a long soak.

Um...can we add CLOCKS to the theme list? Or have they already been done? (Or over-done??)

Lots of good entries have started us off again.
Gary - As usual we look forward to seeing your image first thing. Hope the week gives you a chance at a second entry.
Val - Fun entry! You did a nice job of masking the bear into your mirror. I like that you can still read the mirror's warning. Good job.
Tony - That's fabulous. Tack sharp, and I love the colors.
Steven - With that view I'd have mirrors all over the place. Nice idea to catch the trains as they go by. I'll be sure to wave next time.;)
Mary Lou - Very nice. You got a nice angle on your shot and great compositon. Looks like everyone was enjoying Fathers' Day.
Byron - What a neat idea. You got a nice looking shot.
Sharon - Clever idea with the mirror and a nice way to display it for the theme. You're right ... the reverse text is a bit disconcerting isn't it.
Kim - That's very cool ... a nice representation of the blue-grass state. The star is stationary over the Kim2900 mansion no doubt!
Great entries so far everyone. This one's off to a fun start. Thanks too to all of you who were kind enough to offer ideas for futre themes. The cupboard is no longer almost bare:D.

I don't know all the rules for this thread so if a montage is not okay, please tell me!
Martha - According to the international panel of judges, the rules for this thread are 1.) Interpret the theme in one manner or another, 2.) Use your camera, and 3.) Have fun.
I think you've satisfied the requirements quite well. Nice entry!

Thanks Bill and Val.
Bill, at first glance I thought your photo was a pair of glasses. Nice reflections.
Val, I'm glad to hear that the bear was an addition!
Really creative pictures! You never know what you'll see here (or in the EZ Challenge thread!)

Thanks for your nice comments Bill.
Your photo is very unique and interesting. The mirror on the left looks like it could be San Francisco.
This is where we went for Father's Day. It is a cute little diner where your food is served on a train. We took our kids there when they were little and our grandaughter loves Thomas so we went there.

Aren't you suppose to be working on a Challenge image Kim? I haven't seen it yet!
Mary Lou- Cool restaurant! They had a railroad themed restaurant in Seattle, called The Iron Horse, that served meals in the same fashion. I enjoyed the place, but I didn't like my meal going by other tables with runny nosed kids getting a close up view of what I was to eat!

....which reminds me why I'm always very careful to wash fruit & vegetables bought loose in the market (as opposed to plastic shrink wrapped)....ever since I stood and watched a woman with an enormous dewdrop forming on the end of her nose that eventually splashed onto the tomatoes she ws examining. Yeuch!

That turned into a fun week of entries ... congratulations to all, and thanks again Steven for planting the seed.
Martha - It certainly helps to have willing models!! I like the collage you made.
Clara - I'm glad you didn't find the macrame you were looking for. I like the mirror and the quilt reflection, but I love the line of the wall corner running through the image. The colorful angel and vase anchor the top and bottom very nicely for me. Nice job.
Lisa - It was a good candidate for the treatment you gave it ... and a nice efficient use of pixels!;)
Ellen - The mirror is really different. I would never have thought that the night mirror would be so prominent ... shows the power of the human eye to be able to see where it needs to. The view down the driveway is wonderful.
Jo - Very pretty image. The reflected flower is nearly as vibrant as the real one. Being able to see into the pond gives your image nice depth.
Gary - Go ahead and post car pictures any time you want.;) It looks really nice ... the 'mirror' is nicely framed, the image of the pickup is nicely framed, and you were able to keep your camera out of the image completely. Well done.
We've still got time for more entries this week ... let's see what you got.

Thanks, Bill, for such nice comments. The mirror scared me because I knew that the reflection in the mirror would be as important as the mirror itself.
