Here's a question for those who have used both versions. How do you like version 2? Is it worth the upgrade? I was just wondering, especially after all the flap over PSE4
Will my current projects in version 1 transfer over?

Yes and yes.
I think the switch is worth it, for all the DVD menu options alone.
Your version 1 projects will open in version 2 and can be edited from there on out :)

Please note: Some users in the Premiere Elements forum at Adobe have found that starting a project in V1 and finishing it in V2 has caused some problems (such as long render times, inability to burn to DVD, and various other issues). Yes, you can have both versions installed at the same time, and start new projects in V2 without any problems, but I would recommend finishing any V1 projects in V1.

So can I just install version 2 & then uninstall version 1? I dont want to lose anything I did in version 1.

I upgraded just two weeks ago and found it to be worth every penny. I had made videos in v.1 and was completely unable to burn them to DVD, and had big problems with the burning side of the projects. After the upgrade I have had no issues, just finished a 38 minute slideshow of our family's "year in pictures" and the whole thing came out perfect. There are some great new transitions in v2, as well as enough new features to make it worth the upgrade.
(The only glitch to burning the DVD's is to make sure that your screensaver is turned off, or else your project will not burn correctly, which I found out thanks to another post on this forum.)
