Hi everyone,

I added an update to my PET Gallery today -- Where has cheap gas gone? An attempt at a photo with an old-fashioned look. Criticism welcome and encouraged. Thanks.

Sepiana,

That is a great photo! I am afraid cheap gas is gone forever only to be found in the history books :(

I do like your latest addition.
Does it date me to say that I can remember going to a "Service Station" and getting a dollar or two of gas and an oil check along with an offer to clean my winshield? Sigh...the good old days in some respects.

Hi Charles,
Thanks for the compliment. I agree -- cheap gas is now history.

Hi Martha,

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. I do remember that "full service" too.

Very nice Sepiana. I remember all those years ago, 17 cents a gallon, full service, including checking the air in your tires. Ah...those were wonderful days. Gas is still inexpensive compared to our friends in Great Britain and Europe. I have a friend who's son is stationed in South Korea and he is reporting that petro there is near the $16.00 a gallon over there in some areas around Inchon...Ouch!

Hi Ric,

Thanks. Glad you liked it. Gas here in Illinois is about $4.25 for premium. I'm having a bet on $4.50 by July 4.

Sepiana, I really like your new stained glass picture. All of your creativity and hard work shines through the cost of gas!!

Hi Mary Lou,

Thanks a lot. You're so kind. I'm not sure of the creativity part, though. As far as hard work, it's my fault; I create more work for me. I'm always trying something new to see if I can do it. My huysband always says I should stick with what I do best. But that's so boring!

What about your stained glass project? How is it coming?

Hi Sue,

At least we don't have to drive to the Village!
