This is my first real attempt at a montage. I was inspired by the great work Kev does. I used techniques from a class by Lesa Snider King at Kelby Training.

All the photos were taken last Sunday afternoon.

I like your background with the photos scattered over it.

Nice work, Joe. What are you using for a background?

Thank you Lisa.

Thank you Christell and Val. The background came right from the class by Lesa. I first loaded the skyline image of Raleigh that I took. I changed it using a Threshold Adjustment which turned it black and white. I then found a textured background at a free stock photo site and loaded that. I changed the blend mode of the background texture to Linear Burn which allowed it to be seen on the white parts of the background image. I then just loaded up the other photos.

Thank you Mary Lou. When I took the photo of the Skyscraper I thought of your photo.

Very nice, Joe!

I watched that class and thought Lesa had some really neat content. Plus she's a very good teacher... :)

Thank you Martha.

Thanks Julie. It was a good class. I went into it thinking, "Hey I already know all this stuff." But I found a bunch of good ideas and I haven't finished it yet. I've been trying to come up with something I can do with the motorcycle and speedometer lesson she had, that was really cool. I'm going to try and get to Duke Chapel in the next few weeks. Maybe a montage with a large picture of the outside of the chapel faded into a picture of the inside?

Joe that sounds really neat. I'll be waiting to see that one.

Thanks to everyone who's commented on my class; I'm glad you liked it!

The first Elements class is still being processed (they've gotten really backed up), though hopefully it'll be out soon. I keep checking every day though I did send a gentle reminder to them today :)

Hi Lesa, that's good to hear. I hope the Elements classes are really successful so that they continue to add Elements content to the line-up of courses...
