Error message

Hi
I'm trying to organize my brushes into set, I can get them all into the preset brush folder and then thats where the problem lies.
when I open up the brush palette it say's -Could not complete your request because of a program error. Also they dissapper when I close PSE 5, I start it again and hold down the shift key, but there all gone again.
can anyone help me please,
Will i have to repair PSE and if so HOW do I do it.

My guess would be one of the brush (.abr) files is bad. Take out all the ones you put in that folder. Then, put back one at a time, restarting the Editor each time. Eventually, you'll get the error again, and that will be your bad .abr file.

I personally don't put brushes in that directory, as too many can slow the Editor at startup. When I want a custom brush set, I click on the right-facing triangle at the top of the brush drop down menu in the brush tool, and choose "Load Brushes" or use the Preset Manager to load them.

I agree with Trish. I keep my downloaded brushes on my external drive and load from there.
