I've recently purchased a Macbook laptop and want to bring my photos which reside on my PC into the new computer. Do I / can I (re)load PSE on the new computer? If I hard-wire the computers to each other, can I move the files?

I appreciate all help!

My PSE2 disk comes with both Windows and Mac versions of PSE2. My wacom tablet came with a disk that has PSE4 for Mac and PSE5 for Windows. Otherwise I believe Mac and Windows versions have sold separately. Check your disk. You may need to purchase a new Mac copy of PSE.

I know with full photoshop Adobe will sell you a cross platform disk for about the cost of postage when you switch systems. I don't know how that works for PSE.

There is no Organizer in the Mac version. You will need to work out a different system if you use Organizer on your PC. There are lots of threads on that on this forum.

You can certainly move (or copy) the photos across a network from one computer to another. If you plan to continue using both computers you might want to think about putting your pictures on a portable external harddrive that you could plug into whichever computer you are currently working on.
