I use windows xp. I have had Elements 4.0 on the computer and had a trail version of 6.0 installed about 6 months ago. When I try to install my new disc, it says I must go to the add/remove in the control panel and uninstall. I have done this and rebooted, but it still says I have a version on my computer:twisted:.
When I go to the programs folder there is a file for 6.0. When I try to delete it it will not let me. It says "apdboot.dll" is in use and can not be deleted.
HELP. I have a new program that I can not use:confused:.
thanks
Gary

I could try to dig out some Adobe TechNotes that may or may not deal with your specific situation. But, I think that the quickest most effective way would be for you to take advantage of your rights under the Adobe's free technical support for installation issues for the most recent version.

I have sent Tec support an email. I was on the phone waiting for about an hour and they never answered. I have also posted in their forum.
