automatic photo download with PSE 5

I've been using PSE 5 just fine for at least a year. Last week, out of the blue, upon initial morning boot and at intermittant intervals during the day, the PSE screen will appear to look for a device to perform an auto photo download from. It can't find the device because I have not activated one; e.g. by inserting memory card.

How to I go about turning this nuisance off?

Open the Organiser, goto -Edit - Preferences - Camera or Card Reader - Make sure that Auto Launch Adobe Photo Downloader on Device Connect is not ticked.
