Hi everyone,
Mary Lou had asked me for some help in doing this stained glass combo. I created this cheat sheet and decided to share it with you all. Feel free to ask questions, and, definitely, suggest ways to improve the process.
- Making stained glass - Steps 1 through 7 (glass)
- Making a colored frame - Steps 2 through
4 (frame 1)
- MSG - Steps 11 through 13 (lines)
- MSG - Steps 14 through 16 (coloring)
- MCF - Steps 2 through 4 (frame 2)
- MSG - Steps 11 through 13 (lines)
- MSG - Steps 14 through 16 (coloring)
- MSG - Steps 9 through 16 (custom shape/lines/coloring)
- MSG - Step 21 (Bevel Layer Style)
Notes:
I created a Lines layer for each frame. I noticed that, where the frames overlapped, the strokes were thicker. This enabled me to erase one stroke, without affecting the other.
The custom shape also had its own Lines layer. In the case of the iris, because I wanted to use 2 colors for colorization, I had to use the Brush tool (same color/thickness as the stroke) to enclose some of the areas.
I merged the Lines layers, before aplying the Bevel Layer style.
