Is there someone who can help with my dilemma?

I created slide shows saved them as described below and now cannot find them anywhere.

I'm using a PC with Windows XT and Elements 4

After creating the slide show I clicked on "Save Project" above the left side of the thumbmails. I also used "File>Save As". Each time the same pop-up appeared with the words - "Saving your slide show project enables you to make changes to this slide show later. Your slide show project will be saved to the Photo Browser with today's date. You may need to clear your current search in order to see it".

I'm usure what the last sentence means as I have no active search selected.

When closing the slide show (thinking that it has been saved) I get the pop-up with the following statement - "Your slide show has been saved and is selected at the top of the Photo Browser.

"The Photo Browser is the area where your photos, video clips, audio files, and creations are displayed, either one at a time or in a grid of thumbnails"

There was no prompt at any time to save it to a hard drive location.

It does not appear in the Photo Browser (part of the Organiser?) nor can I find it in "My Pictures"

Your help will be appreciated.

Brian,

I made my first slideshow about three days ago. I saved them in a pfd format and could not find them in pictures at first. I finally found them at the last of my pictures file. Mine were also in the photo browser. Have you done any type of search for your files. I also have a habit of saving projects without looking where the destination is that they are being saved to. Hope you find them.

When you save a creation it is saved as part of the catalog. It will recreate it from the pieces each time, so if you have changed the images and saved on top of the old ones the new ones will be used. It doesn't exist outside of Organizer.

If you publish a creation as a pdf, video cd, etc. it will ask you where you want to save it. It is an independent fixed file and can no longer be edited in Organizer. (This is why it is a good idea to start creations from a collection/album--it is easier to recreate if you want to change and forgot to save the project.)

"......You may need to clear your current search in order to see it".

I'm unsure what the last sentence means as I have no active search selected."

Standard pop-up. Many people start a creation from a search.

Try Find>By media type>Creations or

Creations>Open and enter the name.
