For anyone in the UK thinking about buying an Intuos 3 A5 (6x8) tablet, I managed to buy one on Amazon for only £117.60 plus free postage! I was actually looking at the smaller one when I stumbled on the fact that they were selling the bigger one for less!! The cheapest price I'd seen for this size one is in the region of £200, so it really is a big saving. Can't wait to try it out.

HT,

You should find an 800 # for Wacom support in the package. If not, go to the Wacom site for it. I had a similar problem and the old preference folder had to be deleted. Wacom support walked me through it. Give it a try.

HT you don't happen to have the mouse and pen on the tablet at the same time do you? They do interfer with each other and a lot of people have been tripped up by this. I also have an intuos 3 and have never had a problem with it.

Does it do this in all programs? on the desktop? in explorer? or just with elements? You can use the pen as a sort of mouse replacement ..albeit somewhat awkward. I started using mine just to open programs and stuff just to get used to it.

When I first hooked up the kid's graphire it was not working properly. They are on an older computer and each of the 3 kids had their own settings and then I was set as the administrator. I ended up deleting all their settings and using only ONE user setting. I uninstalled the tablet and then went to the Wacom site and down loaded the newest driver from there without using the CD that came with it at all. It works like a charm now. I'm not sure if it's because of the driver or because the computer just couldn't handle it all, but I think it was a combination of both. It was just too bogged down.

Your computer shouldn't have any problems so I would uninstall the tablet. Turn off your virus software and get the latest drivers straight from the Wacom site. Once you get it working properly you will love it.

 I use 3 -19 inch LCD monitors so i multitask, im in here and in yahoo chat in elements here and chat, So it seems to do it all the time, it IS the NEW driver off of wacoms site directly, seems if i stop to read stuff and not be clicking things it stops responding the curser moves around freely but i cant actually click anything , but if i open task manager by hitting ctrl, alt, delete it comes alive again and responds!??HT

Does it work on the kids computers?

This is just a thought, to try to help you pinpoint the issue.
