Tony, the caterpillars look nice in your photo-not like in real life. We also have a lot of them this year.
Steven, we have used a squirt gun on ours when they try to climb on our screen doors (we have outside cats)
Bayla, hope no one needs the plasters after using Corporal Punishment on Steven's cat!
Byron-tape for any need we might have (I use duct tape for all sorts of things).

Kim...between the Tootsie Rolls and sticky buns, do you ever get anything done?? Maybe next week the topic will be "green vegetables". :p:D

Aaack! Val! (It is very telling that all my image posts seem to be about food, huh?) Truth be told, the Tootsie Rolls weren't mine. I borrowed them from my boss for the shot (so what if one was missing when I returned them!) The sticky buns are still sitting on my dinner table under glass, becoming stickier and drier by the minute! Luckily, I actually don't have much of a sweet tooth. But if you want to talk about pasta...... :p

Boy, all the great looking food is making me want treats, especially the sticki-buns! The apple stickers were very clever Bill. (Thanks for your welcome Bill, it's good to get back here.)
Steven, that two-sided tape is a very clever as well - enjoy seeing Ping in your recent entries.
Tony, I sure hope your worms aren't planning a trip into Ontario!
Kelly Lee, what a fabulous shot! Disconcerting to view though, the ducks look like they are attacking the one on the bottom? Poor thing...
Everybody had such good ideas for this theme. I was about ready to give up on this one & finally found something.

Bayhli: They're already here! You must be lucky if they haven't got up your way yet - I took that pic in an Ontario Provincial Park and they're in our backyard too. Completely stripped one tree - but it does seem to be recovering now they've moved on. Birds won't eat them (I gather they excrete cyanide!)
Know what you mean about those birch seeds - got the car covered in them the other day but never thought about a sticky pic. Lots of sticky things in the big outdoors - last years burdock seeds that get caught in the dog are one of the worst but if it's any consolation it was burdock that lead to velcro being invented and we couldn't live without velcro :)

Tony, for some reason I thought you were located in one of the prairie provinces.
The Tent worms are probably not here yet because there is nothing for them to eat - our trees are just now starting to bud. I remember a year where our yard looked like a war zone from them, not one leaf left on the trees, so I hope they stay away in large numbers!
Another tool against them is to spray them with Sunlight Liquid Dish Soap mixed with water. They let go of their hold on the trees.

Ellen - Since our surname is Russell, I loved your take on the "sticky" theme. Have never seen such a box of fly paper!:D I've saved the image. I'm sure it will come in handy eventually.
Cheers,

Helen, Let me know if you want a bigger image of the box, I'd be happy to send it along.

Wonderful images from everyone this week. I'm sorry to not have time to comment on them all ... but each of you 'done real good'! Keep them coming in.
