Hi - I'm trying to create a slide show with music. I've added a .wma music file but when I previe the slide show, the music doesn't play. It is sample music that came with the PC an I am able to run it from Window Media successfully.

When I first click on the space bar to start the preview, I get this error: an unknown error '-2147024809' occred while initializing the preview. If I click ok, the preview runs, but without music. If I run the preview a second, it skips the message

I'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0 on a Vista OS.

Any help would be really appreciated!!

Have you ever gotten this feature to work previously? Whatever is happening, is it happening just with this specific slideshow?

You mention that you are using Photoshop Elements 5 on a Windows Vista operating system. Did you ever install the Photoshop Elements 5.0.2 update? If not, you might try that first. The download from Adobe is:

Have you updated all your audio drivers? Have you defragmented your computer and optimized it recently?

Also, what is the content of your slideshow, in minutes/hours? What is the pixel dimensions of the photos going into this slideshow. Another thought, have you tried converting the .wma to mp3 with iTunes?
