My Canon Rebel kept giving me error messages but I could fix it by just turning it off and back on or sometimes removing the battery but finally, all of my tricks stopped working and it was fried. I decided to try something new and purchased the Sony Alpha 200. Pretty similar to my Canon except it has stabilization built into the camera body.
Anyway, I have posted my first images with my new camera in the gallery. The white heron was an older photo taken with the Canon but the others are all Sony.
I would love to get feedback on what you think of the Sony's photos.
Thanks
Mack

Hi Craig,
Truly great pictures, I can tell though that you would take great pictures with any camera - great eye! Keep em coming.

Craig,
nice gallery, the new camera helps but it's the eye that counts.

Great looking images. I don't see how they could be any better.

Your images are beautiful! I'm about to purchase either the sony a200 or the a350. I know there is about a 300 dollar difference. Just trying to decide if the extra megapixels and the tilting preview screen make it worth it.

Debcam, I considered the 350 as well but I didn't see the need to pay 60% more for what you get. I ended up getting the 200 with standard lense plus the telephoto lense cheaper than the 350 with just the standard lense. That ended up making my decision because I use a telephone lense so much as I like the DOF it produces.
Thanks to all for the kind comments on my photos.
Have a great day!
