I just installed my Mother's Day gift...a Wacom Bamboo. Another case of "You'd better be careful what you ask for..." Although I can see how useful it will be, it intimidates me, and the online lessons I found, and the downloadable manual aren't that user-friendly. Can anyone recommend a book for beginners, or direct me to some tuts for dummies? I've already discovered that I can use it even in my ancient version of CorelDRAW, and have done some practice exercises...x's and o's and writing sentences as well as my signature. My main purpose, however, is to jazz things up in PSE, especially using it as a selection tool. Thanks, Shar

Sharlamb:
The only thing I have found are the tutorials on the Wacom site and a few on PET. I have only used three of the programmable buttons. and of those i use the undo the most.
I really love the tablet, it makes everything much more natural than using the mouse. I would just start using it and it will come to you. The Keyboard commands are the same anyway. It's just so much easier not having to hold the mouse button down all the time. I think the hardest part for was the sensitivity of the pen.

Thanks Hank. Yes, every time I pick it up I feel more comfortable with it...basic stuff. I was hoping for some artistic application for beginners. I found one book at the library, but it is for Gallery Level Artists! No good for me! Shar
