Thanks everyone for joining in my little party!
It looks as though the doctors have given me a release to return back to work. I have been off due to some big time brain surgery that I had undergone this past February.I feel pretty good now the worst of it being that I lost much vision in my right eye and can no longer use a camera viewfinder. Thank goodness cameras have LCD's now! I tried using my left eye but yikes that's hard!
This forum has been a good thing for me, even though I did not always participate it was fun checking in to see how and what my friends were doing. Not to mention that playing with my images and posting them gave me some focus during a very weird and trying chapter of my life.
Wouldn't it be a hoot if we were all able to have a real party oneday. This is a great community and I am glad I found you all.

Thanks,
Don

PS if you are the worrying type don't worry about me I am doing fine

I am the worrying type but I am glad to hear that you are doing fine and are able to return to work. This really was a celebration of the good news!! Thank you for picking my favorite refreshments!! It would be so much fun to have a real party someday. Glad you are feeling good.

Thanks Don - I'd like a 'frosted coffee roll' from the upper left corner please because 'roll' is this week's photo theme and so far we're heavy on sushi.;)

Glad you're up and about again ... and thanks for sharing the doughnuts!

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement everyone! There was a time in my life when I was running 70 miles a week and would not dream of eating a donut and now I am reminded that we need to slow down and take time to eat a donut now and then.
As a side note I fear the donut dealer was nervous and thought that perhaps I was from the board of health:D. "Why you take pictures of my donuts?" to which I replied "you have exceptionally beautiful donuts" and he beamed proudly!

Thanks for joining my party, you all made my day,

Your friend,
Don

Very wise words!!! In fact, I'm munching on chocolate covered chocolate cake variety now :) May the force be with you Don!

Thanks Lesa,

Isn't it funny how we all know the truth but then choose to ignore it because we don't have the time any more.

Love your work by the way!

Don

Great news on the health front. Glad everything is checking out ok.

I'm a bit late for the doughnuts.. I think a few people have taken more than one.:D (I don't want to mention names..Kim is already mad at me and Rob has all those swords, so I'll keep quiet.;))

Don, glad you are back on track and enjoy one of life's little pleasures: donuts. Make mine cinnamon twist and a good cup of Joe to dunk it in. My prayers are with you for your continued good health.

Thanks Suzanne,

It may sound a little crazy but when people send prayers and thoughts I can actually feel a little boost and calmness come over me a sort of crispness if that makes any sense.

The cinnamon's are great especially with an extra large coffee.

Enjoy,
Don
