Since this first (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37199) one was fun here's a great shot from Tony to continue on. It even has a nod back to Chicago. (Marie sent one from the Windy City too that may wait til Halloween) Along with Bill I admire them so much because they sent a photo to pht.challenge@gmail.com for us to use.
Here is a comment thread (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?p=380123#post380123)

This is not what I wanted it to be but since I am bleary-eyed from working on it I'm posting it anyway!! Purple is my favorite color and that is how it started out. The rest...who knows!! I wanted to learn how to do reflections and I accomplished that. I think it is too busy.

On a sad note I just found out that Allen Mott, Canada's Old Windmill Man, who restored these antique windmills, passed away on April 23rd. I'm sure he would appreciate us having some fun with his windmills.

With apologies to Alex I think it was who used to do the most amazing animations on Grant's challenge. Mine is a bit rough and ready, but I did it rather quickly and it's only my second ever attempt at an animated gif. You have to click on it to get it to work:

One more from me too - I was actually playing with some filters I'd forgotten I had for the Creative Challenge and using this image so I'll post it in this thread.

O.K. Here is my try. I just may have figured out pixcentral. I created these spheres to use in different places. I wanted it to look like bubbles floating in the sky but they just sort of look like balls.

he is 'allegedly' a retired race horse and lives in the field at the back .....

There was a famous British racehorse named Eclipse, but he died in the 1780's. A lot of modern thoroughbreds have him as an ancestor. In the US, you can't have registered thoroughbreds with the same name -- each horse must have a unique name. I don't know if this includes British horses, too, or if there is a time limit when you can start reusing names.

Bob: Eclipse is on the International List of Protected names but having lived for a while in a racing village in the UK and picked up a bit from jockeys in the local pub I recall that racehorses might have several names. An official registered one, but also unofficial stable and pet names. I guess giving a horse an unofficial famous name might be considered a lucky omen in some circles :D

Bob and Tony,
thank you for the information on race horse names, I hope I haven't inadvertently broken any rules by putting that name on his 'coat' :o (it isn't there really, but he is supposed to be an ex-race horse, although I don't think he himself dates from 1780 either ;)).
Maybe he is a descendant though, wow now that would be some kind of bizarre coincidence ....... (cue the music ...)
Actually I don't know what his name is, I shall try to find out ........
