I have some new fonts to use in PSE 5. Not sure where to load.
Does adobe PSE 5 use the fonts contained in Windows (Start/Control Panel/Fonts) or does it pull from another location. If another location, where do I add the fonts to.
Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but not sure of the answer.

You will find the fonts foler here > control panel and the fonts folder will be there. Just copy or drag the new fonts into that. They are accessible to use for all your programs. No need to load them into any other program.

Hi Maria,
You can also use fonts in Elements without putting them in the Windows Font folder.
Double-click on the font file to open it and leave it open (you can minimize it to the task bar if desired).
Restart Elements - then you should see that font listed in the font picker in the Type tool options bar.

Hi, Maria. Remember to unzip font folders first, if necessary. Most of the fonts downloaded from freebie sites like dafont.com come zipped. You have to first extract the font file before moving it into your font folder (or other location, as Diana suggests).
right-click on the zipped folder, choose Extract All...and follow the wizard steps.
Happy fonting!

If you want to install a font, easy way is Start -> Control Panel -> Fonts. You will find "Install Fonts" under the File menu.
