Hello everyone, my name is Janet, and I am so new to Elements that you should be able to hear me opening the box as we speak. :) Actually, I have had the software for a couple of weeks now, and am finding the learning slow. I have Elements 6 and use a mac.

I am sure I will be asking many, many questions. I am so glad to have found this site.

Welcome Janet! We've all been there at the beginning wondering what to do next, how to do it, and there is just soooooo much. This forum is great for asking and getting answers to questions. It might not be a bad idea to become a member of Photoshop Elements Techniques User Group - http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/
where there are tons of video tutorials, and downloads to get those creative juices working.

Welcome and enjoy
~bruce.

Janet, go to the link below and try some of the Tutorials. Choose the tuts that cover subjects you wish to learn.
Work yourself through some so you become familiar with terminology used in Elements. Both Photoshop and Elements are very similar. You can actually follow most Photoshop tuts in Elements just that some of the tools will vary a little as to where they are. The important thing is that you understand the terminology and where the tools can be found.
You can also do a search for other Element tutorials.
Post back if you have any questions, and with your progress.
I suggest that you mention that your on a mac so contributors will be aware when they advise you.
