Hi,

How can I delete a post which I placed in the wrong category? I click on Edit/Delete, but I don't get the two options "Delete this message" and "Edit this post". I get only "Edit this post".

Thanks

P.S. I just came across a thread discussing this. I don't think I can. I think I have to ask a moderator to do it for me.
The thread in question is in the Newsletter Gallery Subscriber. I didn't understand the category and began a thread to the effect that I had placed a link to the Village Gallery in my signature. I told you in my introduction that this is my first time as a member of an online forum. Can't you tell?

Sepiana,

You can delete a post you've made in a thread but I don't think you can delete a thread that you have started unless you ask the moderators to do it.

I wouldn't worry too much about your thread being in the wrong place. It's confusing having two galleries, but we all seem to find the images eventually!

If you send me a link to the thread I will remove it for you.

Bayla is correct. You can delete a post but not a thread.

Nancy,

Thanks a lot! Instead of "Measure twice before cutting", I'll "Think twice before posting".

Just as an FYI, the reason why regular users can't delete threads is that would basically mean they could delete other people's posts and that could get ugly.
