Absolutely beautiful photos Christell. I can't wait to get at them.
I just have to think about what I'm going to do.

What creative minds we have here at the forum. Creative minds think alike. Neat seeing everyone's different take on the same photo.

Joe- Yours was unexpected but what an imagination. Would be a sad day if the "Village" would go up in flames.
Bill- Your combination fit perfectly.
w/c- Your orb looks great. I keep forgetting to try it.
Tony- I like the photomerge. Water looks natural along the church. The reflection is not that noticable because it is not really clear in the first place. How did you get the old house to not show up & only the water?
Cherrie-Lynn- I love the effect on both of them. Great idea in taking the info from the website. Both would make nice postcards for their gift shop.
Val- Really nice crop, framing & background. Would make a nice print.
Love the crop of the water with the wording across. The color stands out on the B&W background.
Steven- Great idea to come up with adding the steeple to fit in perfectly with the rooftops. Background colors stand out against the black.
Ritage- Nice crop showing the contrast of green tree & texture of old wood & windows. The framing really adds to the effect.
Mary Lou- Wow! Your red print technique & background design would make a great advertisement.
Larry- Yours came out great. I love this effect of a sketched painting. Look how it makes the wood detail stand out.
Joe- Looks like it was hand-painted & you are getting good at this. The bright colors make it look completely different.

Thanks for the nice comments Christell.
I am blown away by some of the images posted. People are really getting good at this stuff.
On my painted image. When I say "hand painted" I mean it wasn't cloned. I used the distress filter to make a black and white sketch and then painted in the color using different brushes. It took me about 1 1/2 hours but it was a great learning experience.
The program is so realistic that when I let the acrylic paint dry on the sky and went back to try and fix some things with a smaller brush it looked messed up. There is a steep learning curve but I think it will be worth it.

Christell: Thanks for the comments. Amazingly I didn't do anything to get it to show up that way. I was expecting to have to use something like Photomerge Group Shots to make it work but just to see what would happen I used Photomerge Panorama in the Reposition Only mode and that's what PSE6 produced. Took all of 20 seconds ;)

Thanks for taking the time to comment Christell. It sure wasn't a perfect match, but the similarities caught my eye. Thanks again.

Joe-The program you used must be an awesome program to get those type of results. It must have been alot of work.
Tony- I need to try out the Photomerge panorama & see the results it gives. All it takes is playing around & then getting something unexpected but really nice.
Zeria- Really nice nighttime scene, especially the rays of light shining to the steeple.
digitaldreamer- I love sketch effects. The background texture really worked well with the photo. Nice close crop.
Ellen- Have you been to Louisiana or was Dewey Balfa playing where you live? The alligators look so natural here because this is their type of habitat. I love it.
Everyone's imagination is awesome. Keep it up.

Christell, I met Dewey here (http://www.centrum.org/fiddle/). It was the first one and just a blast. My husband was a musician and we went to visit my brother in Arnaudville and having met Dewey here we hooked up down there. I am bad at what year was what but Marc and Ann Savoy's kid was a baby when we were there and he's playing here this year in his own band.
Thanks again for the photo and for taking the time and care to comment.

Ellen-thanks for the info. So your brother lives or lived in Arnaudville. I live about an hour away from there. Very small world.
Tammy- I love your "Beware of dog" sign & dog on porch guarding the house.

Bob- Glad you made us notice the reflection. There is alot of contrast, texture, color in just that cropped area. I like it.

Kim- I love your take on this photo. Nicely done!
Bill- What can I say about your take on the Outhouse. That was just too funny & quickly done. Just how long has he been sitting there in the outhouse?
