View Full Version : What Font?

Several years ago (and a few computers ago) I had a cursive handwriting font (free) that looked like it had been written on a ruler in that the connecting line between the letters was straight level across.
I've lost it and have spent hours, literally, searching for it on all the free font sites.
Does anyone know of a font like this? If you could give me the name, you would save me many hours of looking and earn my eternal thanks.

Not really. The one I'm thinking of was very flat along the bottom as if written holding a ruler underneath. It's hard to describe what I mean.
Thanks Reka

Do you have any examples of the font that you could scan in for us to see? Might make it easier to identify.

Hi Berengaria,
I found this font on about.com...not sure if it's what you're looking for though. http://desktoppub.about.com/library/fonts/hs/uc_dymaxionscript.htm

I found a font that looks kind of what I think you want. It is at 1001 fonts and it was called John Doe 2. check there and see if that is something you can use.

Tina, John Doe 2 is very close but for some reason I couldn't download it. Although I chose Mac I got a page with all crazy code.
Kim, Thanks, but that's not close enough to pay $40 for.
Thanks all. I'll keep looking and someday I'll run across it again.

Joining in late - just wanted to add that I've had some success using http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ to identify one of those 'mystery' fonts...
